| 8th December 2007 | Free-To-Download Key Stage
3 Shakespeare Resources - Even Better! The free to download resources have proved incredibly popular. A number of teachers have told us how they are taking the resources and using Tippex to remove the dialogue - so, we've created a 4th text version: No-Text! No-Text features the word balloons from the Original Text version, slightly increased in size, to allow students to write or type the words back into the spaces. What a great way to check learning! | 29th November 2007 | Free-To-Download Key Stage
3 Shakespeare Resources The message we regularly receive from teachers is that it is hard to engage students in the classics - and Shakespeare in particular. To help teach Shakespeare for the 2008 Key Stage 3 English test, we've created a set of excellent free to download resources (I know self-praise is no-praise, but these really are excellent!) We have created comic book versions of the set sections for: Much Ado About Nothing, The Tempest and Richard III. Each play is covered in Original Text, Plain Text and Quick Text versions, and is accompanied by supporting text giving an overview of the play, as well as introducing the set sections themselves. In addition to this, we've also created Teachers' Resources to support the teaching of the set sections and the entire play ALL COMPLETELY FREE TO DOWNLOAD !!! No catch, no entering of details, just free to download and use! Why? Well, because we want to hear that we've been a major reason for an increase in students' performance in the Key Stage 3 English test - that's why! | 29th October 2007 | Northampton Chronicle and Echo article I'm proud of the fact that I live in Northamptonshire, and have only recently moved out of the town to Litchborough. So it was really heart-warming to see an article about us in the Chronicle and Echo - especially as it was such a good article: Northampton Chronicle and Echo (29th October 2007) |

| 27th October 2007 | Our very own Jane Eyre and
Great Expectations in The Independent The Independent ran a very nice piece about us on Saturday 27th October, talking about our "non-Shakespeare" as well as our Shakespeare books. It featured some nice images from John M Burns and John Stokes. Apart from them getting our name wrong, (it's Classical Comics not Classic Comics) it was a very good, and much welcomed article: The Independent Article (27th October 2007) |

| 11th October 2007 | It's Finished! Henry V is Finished !!! At long last, our first book is complete, printed and ready for shipping! I know that self-praise is no praise, but it's more like being proud of one of our children. It's a fantastic book, created by experts, compiled by the wonderfully talented Jo Wheeler and printed on top-quality paper. When you see the book for the first time, wear an extra pair of socks - because the first pair will be blown off !! :-) Seriously, a huge thank you and well done to John McDonald, Neill Cameron, Bambos, Jason Cardy, Kat Nicholson, Nigel Dobbyn, and of course our very own Jo Wheeler, for what turned out to be a monumental effort to get the book finished in time for the Birmingham International Comics Show. |

| 15th September 2007 | They've Done It !! Jason and Kat, the colourists on Henry V have achieved the impossible by completing the colouring work to the shortest of deadlines! They've worked day and night, without a day off for the past 3 months to ensure that Henry V hits the printer in time for the Birmingham show, and in time for distribution prior to publication. What's more, they didn't scrimp on quality to get there. These last pages are every bit as good as, if not better than, the first. Get ready for a great book hitting the shelves in November, and a huge well done, and thank you to Jason Cardy and Kat Nicholson. |

| 30th August 2007 | Stratford Observer National press is exciting, but to be talked about in Stratford's very own Observer is in many ways more fulfilling, in a "coals to Newcastle" type of way. For those folks outside of Stratford, here is the article: Stratford Observer 30th August 2007. We will have our books in the Stratford Tourist Information Centre and also in the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust shop. |

| 28th August 2007 | Now we are truly an "Independent"
Publisher More national press coverage today, with this piece: The Independent 28th August 2007 taking up a full page. For some reason, we weren't given an opportunity to comment on our own production; and while some of the comments in there are, well, less than welcome, it was still great to see the artwork distributed to the UK. Great artwork Jon and Nigel! |
